The public first met Danielle Mullins Jbali and Mohamed Jbali on the second season of TLC’s reality TV series 90 Day Fiancé, when single mother Danielle – one of the first American women on the show – met her fiancé Mohamed Jbali from his brought to the United States native country Tunisia. As season viewers may recall, Danielle and Mohamed got married within 90 days, but the marriage didn’t last. The two eventually divorced, although they appeared to reconcile. In June 2022, Danielle posted a photo of herself with Mohamed to her Instagram account, saying in the caption that they were “friends after all” and that their friendship showed that “anything is possible.”
However, before Mohamed ever landed in the United States on his K-1 visa, the couple didn’t start their relationship without TLC viewers’ attention. Though their relationship quickly became unique in the history of the ’90 Day Fiance’ couples, the way Danielle and Mohamed met was surprisingly normal.
Danielle and Mohamed met online
Like many couples before and after them, Danielle Mullins Jbali and Mohamed Jbali met online. From the couple’s initial description ahead of the “90 Day Fiancé” season 2 premiere, Danielle and Mohamed were known to have met in an online chat room (via The Wrap).
Introducing them in a video on the 90 Day Fiancé YouTube channel, Mohamed recalls the pair beginning to share “some personal things,” which ultimately started their relationship. Danielle shared in the same video that one of her “biggest concerns” with Mohamed was that she “had to build up [her] trust him,” adding that she was also concerned about the age difference between them. (The description of the couples given on The Wrap notes that Danielle was 41 at the time of the season two premiere, while Mohamed was over a decade younger at 26.)
However, age never seemed to bother Mohamed. In an Instagram post, he once wrote, “Younger men should be with older women to study, and older men should be with younger girls [because] they are ripe. True or not” (via In Touch Weekly). He also noted that “I’m not perfect. Don’t take me as a role model.” Fascinating!
Both have moved on with their lives since their divorce
After their divorce, both Danielle Mullins Jbali and Mohamed Jbali have moved on with their lives. As seen on Danielle’s Instagram page, she completed an academic program to qualify as a Licensed Practical Nurse (aka LPN). She still uses her married name, Jbali, on her Instagram account. Danielle has also starred in the 90 Day Fiancé spin-off series 90 Day Fiancé: The Single Life, but In Touch Weekly reports that she is no longer in a relationship with Robert, the man she was dating in The show together was .
According to a separate In Touch Weekly article, Mohamed Jbali has moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, having previously lived in Austin, Texas. The outlet reports that Mohamed continues to work as a truck driver, a job he previously discussed in a Facebook post to fans.
In the post, Mohamed said: “This job is not an easy job, even if it seems like it just involves traveling from one state to another [another while] Listen to your favorite music and look at beautiful landscapes left and right.” However, he admitted his troubles had paid off when he saw his bank account grow in an Akita named Bowie.
